TaijiFit™ is a workout appropriate for any age or fitness level – and has you experiencing the FLOW of Taiji whether it’s your first class or 100th. There are no routines to learn, or set choreography to remember. Instead, class members follow an instructor trained in a method known as “Qi Cueing” – designed to bring your muscular, cardiovascular, and nervous systems into perfect synergy―along with your mind and Spirit.

TaijiFit is a special kind of movement experience that meets all your fitness needs… and more. It’s more than just an exercise. It is also a moving meditation, a shield against disease, and a beautiful sensual dance! Research studies show that this dance has the power to help cure cancer; and this meditation is also a workout that can make you sweat and smile at the same time.

The benefits of TaijiFit are unlimited; and can be applied to career, relationships, and more; and it functions as a detox system all on its own. Preliminary evidence suggests that meditative exercise such as Taiji may benefit patients with chronic systolic heart failure when combined with standard care. According to the CDC, medical costs associated with fall-related injuries exceeded $16 billion in 2000, and by 2020 will exceed $54 billion. Balance issues are a major health problem among older adults, and often restrict their participation in daily life. However, a short 12-week intervention of Taiji has been shown to reduce the risk of accidental falls in the elderly population considerably.

According to UCLA researchers Taiji improves psychological well-being, reduces the impact of tension headaches, and contributes to the prevention of other stress-related ailments as well. It has been found to augment the immune response to the varicella zoster virus, improve antibody response to the flu vaccine in older adults, enhance T cell helper function in type 2 diabetics, and serve as an adjunct to the pharmaceutical treatment of depression in seniors.

TaijiFit was created by David-Dorian Ross, a seven-time U.S. national champion, world silver medalist and two time world bronze medalist. It’s the most unique work out to come along in decades. TaijiFit is a mind/body “exercise” that combines the best of traditional Taiji (Tai Chi) with modern Western fitness.
