“The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.”
What is your level of imagination and commitment? The key in Tony Robbins life that sparked his imagination and commitment was a stranger bringing food to his family on Thanksgiving when he was eleven years old. His dad didn’t want the charity but the individual delivered it anyway. At this point Tony Robbins realized that strangers did care, something he had been told otherwise by an angry father.
Tony’s Dad left the family shortly after this experience, which made Tony who he is today, by adding value to as many people as he can.
At seventeen he fed two families on Thanksgiving. and kept increasing each year. He eventually got his friends to help and in 2015, at 54 years old, he and his organizations fed four million people worldwide on Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can watch the video of him describing the impact it’s had on him.
That is why he can make this statement, he used his imagination and had a commitment to add value to others in order to make an impact on the world. Is Tony Robbins making an impact, I would think he is, especially when you listen to his plans to feed more people in 2015.
How do you make a difference that changes the world?
One person at a time.
Tony isn’t really known for the amount of people he helps feed every year, he’s better known as a motivational speaker. But like most trainers, he’s not just a motivational speaker, he’s a trainer with motivation. Big difference. You can pull applicable lessons out of each of his videos. Here’s one of his YouTube channels.
The question to ask yourself is, did Tony Robbins read Think and Grow Rich? I’m pretty sure I’ve heard him reference the book in one of the many audio or video’s I’ve watched/listened to. Most trainers at his level have read the classics. What makes Tony different is that he keeps evolving and offering different and updated material, like his last book Money, Master the Game.
This is a must read for everyone and you can listen to the first half of it on YouTube at this link, Money: Master The Game AudioBook . All the proceeds from the book sales are going to his nonprofit the International Basket Brigade.
Now is the time to unleash the impact you can have on the world and it starts with imagining how you can use your passion and your strengths to add value to as many people as you can.
If a single person over the time span of 2000 years can still influence millions of people in the world today, how can you spend your time to positively influence the part of the world you’re committed to?
