“The Golden Goose of Life”
“I See Dead People.” No not really, but if you look in their eyes their dead. They’ve settled on what life has delivered to them and they either don’t have the motivation to do better for themselves or worse yet, don’t feel like they deserve it.
What a minute, why wouldn’t someone believe they deserved better? Some people are told time after time that they’ll never amount to much and that’s a curse to the recipient, especially because they may start to believe it themselves.
If a person finds their purpose and then takes action toward living that purpose they’ll have the energy to drive towards it. At least, that is, until they hit some road blocks, and most of the time that road block is ourselves. Unfortunately those closest to us may be the ones condemning us to average, or even below average standards. Why, would those who love us the most restrain us the most?
It’s because they’re afraid of losing you.
In some relationships it gets to the point where the spouse is battered into submission. If that’s love I don’t want to have anything to do with it.
So let’s recap the first two purpose road blocks;
- Ourselves, due to not having the motivation or self-esteem to live your purpose
- Letting others control your dreams and ambitions.
Whenever someone discourages you from finding your purpose or improving yourself, find someone else to hang with.
I have to add Napoleon Hill’s Six Basic Fears to the list because I think they cause roadblocks to everything we do.
- The fear of poverty
- The fear of criticism
- The fear of death
- The fear of old age
- The fear of ill-health
- The fear of loss of Love
I’m sure that none of the Six Basic Fears impeded you from success, or even moving towards a goal.
Think about this for a minute. Do you know someone who has dreams but doesn’t pursue them? Are they miserable and whenever you’re around them they make you miserable? Maybe it’s time to help them find their purpose. Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done.
I have to admit, searching for your passion is a long and hard task, I’m still chasing it, but I think I’m catching up. Fortunately I didn’t run into many negative people who thought I was crazy doing what I’ve done and the money I’ve spent doing it. But then most people don’t understand The Law of Sacrifice, you have to give up to go up. The reality is;
Most people will not sacrifice their time and money to pursue their passion.
And then they end up living in poverty their entire life. Poverty not only in the terms of money, but broke emotionally and spiritually. If you look deep into their eyes you’ll also be able to see “dead people.”
What is your purpose, the golden egg of life, and how did you find it?
